It's especially effective for repairing dents and deformations in high-impact areas or for bonding to aluminum body panels. The metallic filler expands similarly to metal and conducts heat better than standard fillers, which ensures a more stable and longer-lasting repair.

How to Use Aluminum Body Filler

Application is similar to traditional polyester fillers. Mix the base putty with the appropriate amount of hardener (usually around 2–3% by weight). The aluminum particles give the mixed product a metallic tint. Apply in thin, even layers using a spreader on a clean, sanded, and degreased metal surface. Avoid applying it too thickly in a single pass. After curing (which depends on temperature and usually takes just minutes), the filler can be easily sanded. Always finish the surface with a suitable primer filler before painting to prevent absorption and ensure optimal topcoat adhesion.
