SprayMax® 2K DTM-Primer Filler 250 ml

SprayMax® 2K DTM-Primer Filler is a professional two-component acrylic primer filler spray that can be applied directly to cleaned and sanded metal surfaces as well as to most common plastic substrates. The product can be used both as a wet-on-wet primer and as a conventional sandable primer filler.

Thanks to its 2K technology, the coating provides a strong, stable and well-adhering base for further refinishing layers. It dries quickly, can be topcoated easily and is compatible with conventional solvent-based, waterborne, 1K and 2K topcoats.

SprayMax 2K DTM-Primer Filler is especially useful for repair refinishing, preparation of smaller body parts, priming sanded metal surfaces, repairing plastic components and any application where a fast, reliable and professional primer layer is required.

Product information

Suitable substrates

The damaged area must be dry and free of grease and dust. All rust must be completely removed. Substrates must be cleaned and sanded before application.

Preparation before use

1. Protection: wear appropriate personal protective equipment: respiratory mask, protective gloves and safety goggles.
2. Shake before activation: before activating, shake the can thoroughly for 2 minutes from when the mixing balls are heard.
3. Place the activator button: remove the red button from the cap and place it on the pin in the base of the can.
4. Activate: place the can vertically on a firm, horizontal surface with the button facing down, then press once with the heel of your hand using even pressure. A cracking sound confirms activation.
5. Shake after activation: after activating the hardener, shake the spray can again for 2 minutes from when the mixing balls are heard.
6. Adjust the nozzle: set the variable spray nozzle to the size and pattern of the damaged area.
7. Test spray: after shaking, test spray and check compatibility with the surface.

Application data

Drying times

The stated values refer to the recommended processing conditions. The level of dryness is determined pursuant to DIN 53150.

Sanding and topcoating

SprayMax 2K DTM-Primer Filler can be topcoated with all conventional 1K and 2K topcoats, solvent-based and waterborne paints, as well as 2K polyester products.

Pot life and after use

• Pot life: approx. 8 hours at 20 °C room temperature and approx. 40–50% relative humidity.
• Temperature effect: higher temperatures reduce pot life, lower temperatures prolong it.
• Valve cleaning: after painting, turn the can upside down and spray for 3–5 seconds to clean the valve.

Storage and shelf life

The shelf life of an unused, non-activated can is 36 months when stored correctly.

Safety and disposal

• Avoid bumps, friction and impact.
• Wear appropriate respiratory protection, protective gloves and safety goggles during use.
• Observe the safety data sheet and all warnings printed on the can.
• Completely emptied spray cans must be disposed of through the recycling system.
• Cans containing hardened material must be disposed of as special waste.
