NOVOL GRAVIT 650 2 in 1 Sealant and Underbody Protection Coating

NOVOL GRAVIT 650 2 in 1 is a synthetic resin-based, asphalt- and bitumen-free body protection coating that can be used both as a sealant and as a stone chip-resistant underbody coating. It forms a strong, flexible layer that resists stone impact and helps prevent moisture from penetrating the treated surface.

The product provides excellent corrosion protection and is resistant to petrol, oil, water and salt. Thanks to its sound-absorbing and sound-insulating properties, it is suitable for protecting and sealing body panels, overlaps, joints and underbody areas.

GRAVIT 650 can be sprayed or applied by brush. Once cured, the coating can be overcoated with any acrylic paint, making it suitable for further refinishing and repair processes.

Surface preparation

Application

Before use, shake the container thoroughly for 3 minutes. Depending on the application method, GRAVIT 650 can be used either as a sealant or as an underbody protection coating.

• Recommended number of coats: 1–2 coats.
• Dry film thickness per coat: 100–120 µm.
• Flash-off between coats: 5–10 minutes at 20°C.
• Always follow the equipment manufacturer’s instructions.

Drying and coatability

When the underbody coating is applied directly to steel, the GRAVIT 650 layer must be protected with clearcoat or enamel paint.

Storage and cleaning

• Store the product in a cool, dry room.
• Keep away from sources of fire and heat.
• Protect from direct sunlight.
• Use white spirit or NC solvent for cleaning tools.
• The product has a shelf life of 24 months at 20°C.

Important information

• When applied directly to steel, the underbody coating layer must be protected with clearcoat or enamel paint.
• Do not apply to the engine, gearbox or exhaust system.
• Recommended application conditions are above 15°C and up to 80% humidity.
• Shake the container for 3 minutes before use.
• The product can be applied by spraying or by brush.
• A test application on the specific surface is recommended before use.
• The safety data sheet and workplace safety regulations must be followed.
