Pigmented, Purform®-based, solvent-borne black primer liquid for various substrates. Sika® Primer-507 is based on Purform® polyurethane technology with less than 0.1% monomeric diisocyanate for improved health protection and workplace safety. It reacts with moisture to form a thin film that improves adhesive bonding between substrate and adhesive. It briefly fluoresces under long-wave UV light, enabling visual coverage control during application.

Key benefits
- Suitable for many substrate types
- <0.1% monomeric diisocyanate for better health protection and occupational safety
- Briefly visible under UV light (coverage inspection)
Applications
Promotes adhesion on glass, ceramic-coated glass, plastics, pre-coated / painted surfaces, E-coats and metals for use with Sika elastic adhesives and sealants.
For substrates prone to stress cracking, consult the manufacturer and perform preliminary tests on the original substrate. Intended for use by experienced professionals; always test under actual conditions to confirm adhesion and material compatibility.

Packaging
- Bottle: 250 ml
Application procedure
Substrates must be clean, dry and free from grease and contaminants. Adhesion can be improved by pre-treatment (abrading, cleaning, activator).
- Shake Sika® Primer-507 thoroughly until the mixing ball moves freely, then continue shaking for 1 minute.
- Apply a thin but fully covering coat using a brush, felt or sponge.
- Ideal ambient and substrate temperature: +15 °C – +25 °C.
- Typically one coat is sufficient; ensure continuous coverage. Consumption and method depend on the substrate.
- Close the bottle immediately after each use.
Notes & storage
- CQP = Corporate Quality Procedure (internal test method).
- A In specific applications, temperature and flash-off time may differ.
- B Store sealed, dry, upright and below 25 °C.
