NOVOL PLUS 720 Polyester Resin
NOVOL PLUS 720 is a polyester resin for manual lamination, containing structural unsaturated polyester resin and the appropriate catalysts. When mixed with hardener, the product is suitable for creating a high-strength, rigid laminate.
PLUS 720 can be used for repairing larger damage, holes, rust-through areas and material defects, as well as for reinforcing body panels made of sheet metal and laminate. It is also suitable for lamination and repair work on boats, yachts and caravans.
The product provides very good adhesion to properly prepared surfaces. It is the same polyester resin used in the NOVOL PLUS 710 Repair Box, but supplied in a larger package. It can be used with all types of glass fibre fabric and glass fibre mat.

Instructions for use
- Surface preparation: clean, sand and degrease the surface to be repaired according to the specific substrate.
- Preparing glass fibre fabric or mat: cut a piece large enough to extend approx. 2 cm beyond the damaged area.
- Preparing the resin: prepare only the amount that can be used within approx. 10 minutes.
- Mixing ratio: add 2–3 g of hardener to 100 g of resin.
- Mixing: mix the resin and hardener thoroughly until a uniform colour is obtained.
- Applying the resin: apply the resin with a brush to the clean, prepared surface.
- Applying the glass fibre fabric: place the cut glass fibre fabric or glass fibre mat onto the repair area, press it down and saturate it with resin using a brush.
- Layering: depending on the damage, several layers of glass fibre fabric or glass fibre mat can be applied using the same method.
- Curing: wait approx. 45 minutes at 20°C, or heat the repaired surface for 15 minutes at max. 60°C.
- Sanding or filling: the cured laminate can be sanded with P80–P120 abrasive paper or covered with polyester putty to achieve a smoother surface.
Coatability
The cured and properly prepared PLUS 720 laminate can be covered with polyester putties, spray polyester filler, most primers, paints and clearcoats. To achieve a smooth surface ready for painting, polyester putty is generally recommended.
